Google wins permission to keep website in China

SAN FRANCISCO – Google won permission Friday to maintain its website in China and keep its toehold in the world's most populous nation after bowing to pressure to eliminate a virtual detour around the country's online censorship requirements.

New Apple TV to offer 99-cent streaming TV-show rentals?
Just a few months ago, word had it that Apple was trying to lure the big TV networks — with little success, apparently — to lower the prices of their shows on iTunes from $1.99 an episode to 99 cents each. Now the rumor is that Apple's at it with 99-cent shows, except this time they'd be streaming rentals rather than downloads for sale.
