New Protests in Arakan
A protest took place in the town of Man Aung, Arakan, this morning, with protesters making three demands during the demonstration.
A witness told Narinjara via the phone that 5000 people in Man Aung staged a demonstration by marching on Bandula road while holding two banners.
The banners displayed the demonstrators' demands for the release of all political prisoners, a reduction in commodity prices, and national reconciliation.
The demonstration began at 9 am and finished successfully at 11 am.
This is the first people's demonstration in Man Aung after several demonstrations have taken place in one town after another in Arakan State since the last week of August.
