At least 5 homes were said to have been destroyed in a fire in Upper Blai village, Paletwa Township, Chin state, on the morning of May 15.

The blaze began in the kitchen of U Sin Lone's residence and spread to neighboring homes.

The residences that were consumed by the fire belong to U Sin Lone, U Hla Kyaw Xue, U Oo Tha Hla, U Pha Win, and U Kyaw Win.

The blaze, which began at approximately 11 am, was controlled after firefighters, departmental personnel, and nearby residents collaborated to extinguish the flames by about 1:30 pm.

Paletwa Township is currently governed by the AA, and campaigns for fire prevention and awareness are underway.
