At least three Rohingya refugees were killed and seven others injured when a clash broke out between two rival groups Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) and Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) at a Uykhiya camp on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Md Elias and Md Ishaq and Firoz Khan.

The incident took place at Camp-4 Extension.

They were hacked and shot dead by the members of Arsa, said Additional DIG Md Iqbal, commanding officer of APBn-14.

He said Arsa members are trying to reorganize and sabotage the Rohingya camps. The clash took place mainly over establishing dominance.

Ukhiya police station Inspector Shamim Hossain said the bodies of the three Rohingyas were recovered.

The injured were sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for treatment.
