Myanmar authority has handed over six Bangladeshi fishermen to BangladeshBorder Guard Force (BGB-02) on western the Myanmar border.
The initiative was made possible with the help from the Bangladeshconsulate in Sittwe.
All those Bangladeshi fishermen were stranded at Kyaukphyu township sea coastof Rakhine State since 1 February due to some technical failures, said theSittwe consulate office on 9 March.
"Our mission is thankful to all concerned parties in materializing therescue operation and repatriation of the fishermen as well,” added the consulatestatement.
The Sittwe consulate often seeks to repatriate Bangladeshi nationals whogot detained in the Burmese waters.
