Six Bangladeshi Rakhine nationals, who entered Maungdaw township, were arrested at the Kyaing Chaung checkpoint in northern Maungdaw locality on 28 June.
The six detainees include Nay Htet Lin (18 years old), Thet Yin (23), Maung Yaing (28), Thar Tun Hla (31), San Htwe Maung (32) and Mg Mg alias Runam (18).
According to the reliable information, the detainees crossed the international border-fencing from Bangladesh to go to Malaysia via Maungdaw (Rakhine State) to work there.
The driver (Myo Kyaw Thu) was arrested from Thinbaw Hla (outside) village in Maungdaw township.
An administrator, who spoke on condition of anonymity, informed, “I heard that all of them will be produced in the court. But I can not confirm.”
Seven people including the driver will be charged under the relevant immigration laws.
