Junta force shoots at Kyauk Taw monastery with drone

The monastery of Rok Thar village under Kyauk Taw township witnesses some ruins as it was shot at by the military council army personnel with a drone.
A local resident, who did not want to be named, informed that the incident took place at around 2 pm on 29 October. The drone attack damaged its roof and other parts of the monastery.
"They might have targeted the monastery with some hidden agendas. It should not be an accidental attack. Presently, there is no gun fighting going on in the locality,” he added.
The drone was allegedly launched by the saka kha 9th army of the military council based in Kyauk Taw.
During the drone attack, none was reported hurt, as the villagers had already left the place.
The Kyauk Taw army unit continues firing heavy weapons on nearby Nagara, Rok Thar and other villages, where many people were already killed and injured.
Because of the indiscriminate attacks by the soldiers from time to time, the villagers had left their places to nearby villages for shelter almost a month back, stated the resident.
