Three ethnic rebel groups, identified as the northern brotherhood alliance, mentionedin a message on second anniversary of Monywa People's Strike Steering Committeethat it respects and recognizes the political aspirations of Myanmar people andalways stands together with those who share a common position and a common goal.
The ethnic armed groups namely Taang (PSLF/TNLA), Kokant (MNTJP/MNDAA) and Arakanese (ULA/AA) have been fighting forself-determination and a genuine federal democracy in Myanmar.
On 9 February, on the second anniversary of Monywa public strike in Sagaingdivision, the alliance sent the message.
It also paid tribute to those Burmese people, who sacrificedtheir lives and many others losing wealth for freedom from the military rulersduring the Spring Revolution.
"We, the revolutionary forces, are expecting inspiration from the allianceas it has more experience on the ground. We thank them for recognizingus," said a revolutionary soldier from Sagaing.
The Sagaing division supports many revolutionary forces, and it also comprisesmany large townships which have been under the martial law, declared by theBurmese military forces on 2 February last.
