Junta forces attack PDF camps in Sagaing, at least 15 killed



Myanmar military junta troops attacked PDF camps near three villages in Sagaing division on 25 June, where at least 15 people, including civilians, were killed, stated local defense groups.


“It happened on Sunday. About 15 or 20 PDF men including civilians were killed. The targeted camps were located near Uyintaw, Kintaw and Lepantaw villages. We have lost a large number of  weapons too," said a local defense member.

He added that the military council forces raided the PDF camps and killed at least 13 members from the PDF and local defense forces along with four villagers.




"We are searching for dead bodies who were killed by the junta forces. The bodies will be cremated accordingly.  Among those killed, some were found completely burnt,” said a resident of Lepantaw village.

The military council also confirmed that their forces had attacked the PDF camps and seized some bodies & ammunition.

According to their statement, the military council seized 42 weapons of various kinds, 107 munitions including two rockets and 5009 rounds of bullets.

Local villagers claimed that 10 residents from these villages had gone missing after the military council troops raided their places along with the camps.
