Some officials of the United League of Arakan (ULA), the
political wing
of Arakan Army (AA), attended the Islamic religious festival Eid held in Rakhine (Arakan) State and provided rice
and some money to the Muslim community.
The Qurbani Eid was celebrated in the townships of Min Bya, Maebon,Ponna Kyunt,Kyauk Taw, Pauk Taw, Mrauk U,
Sittwe, Buthidaung and Maungdaw on 29 June,
where ULA officials from the respective military regions attended the festival and extended support.
The Arakkha People's Government, led by the ULA/AA, believes in unity among all people irrespective of their
ethnic and religious identities.
It is reported that the friendly attitude of the
government and participation of it’s officials in Eid strengthen the lasting bond.
Muslim leaders have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this gesture.
U Maung Nuchay, a Muslim from Pauk Taw township, said, "It emerges beneficial for both the communities
with the ULA initiatives. I hope this
relationship will continue for years to come for the benefit of all people in Rakhine State.”
Some Islamic leaders from Sittwe and Maungdaw townships were contacted by Narinjara News for their views, but
they were not available for comments.

Muslim prisoners and provided clothes to over 400 Muslims in their localities.
