Food items supplied to flood affected Rakhine people by ULA/AA

The United League of Arakan and Arakan Army (ULA/AA) has supplied food items to the food affected local residents of Rakhine State.

On 10 August, over 70 rice bags were distributed among the affected families at the Mya Tan Song IDP camp in Mrauk U township, which was inundated by flood water recently.

"On behalf of the flood victims, I would like to record my special gratitude to the ULA/AA for providing food items,” said abbot of Mya Tan Song monastery.

Similarly, 164 bags of rice were donated by ULA/AA to the Nyaung Cheung IDP refugee camp in Kyauk Taw township, which faced a massive flood in the recent days.

On 9 August,  the ULA/AA went to provide supports for Min Phu village residents under Min Bya township.

It rained heavily during the first week of August across Rakhine State. The rivers and streams started  overflowing and the flood water destroyed paddy fields, privates houses and also drinking water ponds.

By 9 August, the water levels in various rivers  receded, but the residents are still having difficulties due to the mud over their places.
