Junta forces fire another heavy weapons on AA Laiza camp, killing & injuring many

On 9 October,  28 IDPs including 10 children from Mung Lai Hkyet Village is about two miles north of Laiza Town, the headquarters of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), which is close to China border, were killed and more than 60 were injured due to the continuous firing of heavy weapons by the junta forces.

Mung Lai Hkyet camp, where a unit of Arakan Army is stationed, also faced junta firings with heavy weapons, killing one and injuring 10 others.

According to a joint statement from AA, MNDAA and TNLA, the junta forces attacked the Laiza camp at 11 pm.

The 3 brotherhood  alliances claimed that the military council fired on a refugee camp, where many villagers were taking shelter after they left their places.

The statement also claimed that after facing crisis of public support, the junta authorities start targeting the common people with heavy weapons and even from the sky.

It also added that acts of extrajudicial killings are rampant across Myanmar and those are blatant crimes against the humanity.

On 28  September, the Burmese army personnel attacked on Laiza areas where an AA captain was killed.

He was hit by a shell exploded inside the AA assault camp. Some others were also seriously injured in the incident.
