The
central committee of All Burma Students Democratic Front (ABSDF) announced that three of its members
including vice president Myo Win have been suspended from their political and
military duties.
The three ABSDF members attended the military
council-organised eight-year signing celebration of the National Ceasefire
Agreement (NCA) in Nay Pyi Daw on 15 October.
"All
three members, who attended the eighth anniversary of NCA without the ABSDF
decision, were suspended from their political posts,” said ABSDF spokesperson
San Ni.
An emergency ABSDF central committee meeting resolved to suspend them
immediately.
Besides
Myo Win, ABSDF members Min Zaw and Saw Maung Maung Oo participated in the
celebration, added spokesperson San Ni.
Mentionable
is that the ABSDF participated in the signing of NCA on 12 October 2015. But
later it announced that the NCA became useless due to various actions by
the military council and hence they decided not to attend the program.
ABSDF,
KNU and CNF recently issued a joint opinion stating that the NCA had already
collapsed due to relentless harassment of civilians by the junta forces.
