Miss Rakhine leaves for Malaysia to participate in beauty pageant representing Myanmar

Rakhine beauty queen Ma Thanda Soe has left for Malaysia on Monday to represent Myanmar at the Miss Cosmopolitan World Myanmar 2023 pageant to be held in Kuala Lumpur.

Ko Santha, the founder of Akyab Star from Sittwe, informed Narinjara News that she left from Yangon on 23 October.

"Being able to compete as a representative of Myanmar is an honor for her. She is the first beauty pageant to compete abroad after graduating from the Akyab Star course," he added.

In this event from 23 October to 9 November, Thanda Soe will compete with beauty queens from more than 30 countries, including ASEAN members.

"There are many Arakanese people in Malaysia. I hope they will encourage her so that she can do her best,” stated Ko Santha.

 Thanda Soe is the winner of Miss Universe Sittwe 2023 held at Akyab Star Art and Talents Center in Sittwe. She got the prize of 1st runner up at Miss World Myanmar 2023 pageant held in Yangon.

 Another Rakhine beauty queen Saw Myat Ei Khaing from Sittwe won the Miss Popular Choice award at Miss World Myanmar 2023 organised in September.
