Clashes between junta forces and PDF in Paletwa injure village woman

 A battle broke out between the junta forces and People's Defense Force (PDF) members in Paletwa township of Chin State on 4 November. During the gun fighting, a village woman was hit by a piece of shell and she sustained injuries.

They clashed near Bhawa village, which is about five miles away from Sami town, at around 7:00 am on Saturday.

There is an army camp in Bhawa village and it was attacked by PDF members. The fighting continued till 9 am, said the local residents.

During the fighting, a large weapon was exploded which injured a lady. The mother of a child was taken to Sami hospital with hip injuries, added the locals.

A Sami village resident informed that the injury to the woman was not serious.

However, she was brought from Paletwa to Sittwe general hospital for better medical attention.

Locals have no idea which group fired the ammunition. The Paletwa residents are now worried about the conflicts in their localities once again.
