An ethnic villager of Maungdaw township in westernBurma received a sword injury during an attack of miscreants as he was lookingfor missing cattle, said a local village leader.
U Maung Aye Cho (50 years old), who faced the attack,hails from Shwe Baho village in northern Maungdaw Township, while he along withhis colleagues was looking for his missing cattle near the mountain area.
“I believe theattackers are members of the notorious terrorist group ARSA. There were fourpeople who attacked him with swords. But luckily, he could escape withinjuries,” added the villager leader.
According to the villagers, some of Maung Aye Cho’scattle went missing a few days back.
Fortunately, his injury was not serious and now he isrecovering from injuries at his village residence.
The family has complained to the authorities of UnitedLeague of Arakan (ULA), a political wing of Arakan Army (AA) about theincident.
The western Burma border area is close to Bangladeshand it often witnesses similar incidents. The villagers remain worried becauseof the unsafe ambience.
