At around 2:40 pm the soldiers dropped the bombs on  Khamaung Taw and Ye Ro Byin villages.

"When I was returning home from the paddy field, I saw a drone was dropping the bombs. Some families had already left the village. Since the fighting began, the LIB 550 battalion  based in Ponna Kyunt started firing with heavy weapons on the villages. Now the remaining families have left their places,” said a farmer from Khamaung Taw village.

As the bombs were dropped, many villagers took shelter in makeshift bunkers.
