Junta releases 6 Kyauk Phyu civilians including 5 women vendors

 A Kyuak Phyu township court released  six civilians, including five women vendors in Kyauk Phyu township of  Rakhine State with Kyats 20000 fine to each person within a day  after junta troops arrested them.

 

The released individuals include Daw Ma Kyawt Sein (60 years old), Daw Khin Mya Than (46), Daw Ma Tin Wai (50), Daw Khin Aye Kyi (61) and U Maung Thein Myint (45) from Aung Zedi village under Gone Chein village-tract.

 

The court also released Ko San Min Hlaing (18), Ko Maung Soe Naing (30) and U Maung Htay Kyaw (40), who hail from Nga La Pwayt ward of the same township.

 

A villager informed Narinjara News that six Aung Zedi residents were arrested by the junta soldiers and police personnel from a place near to Kyauk Phyu airport as they were moving to Kyauk Phyu town for selling vegetables on 19 December during early morning hours.

 

He added that the junta forces sued them in the court, but the judges released them with the fine imposed on every individual.

 

A young resident of Kyauk Phyu informed that those three men from Nga La Pwayt ward were also arrested by the soldiers, while patrolling the area on 18 December. They were also released by the township court.

 

On 17 December, the soldiers arrested the vendors from Gone Chein village and Kyauk Ta Lone IDP camp near Kyauk Phyu airport.
