"I heard a loud sound at around 8:30 pm. It
seemed like bombs were dropped by a drone," he added.
The drone-dropped bombs damaged some buildings at the airport complex causing
injuries to some people too.
"One bomb fell in the VIP office. I heard that five individuals were
injured. Due to the darkness nobody could be identified,” he stated.
The residents speculate that the bomb attack was aimed at the junta's military
helicopters which were undergoing refuelling.
Narinjara News tried to contact Rakhine State security and border affairs
minister colonel Kyaw Thura and Rakhine State military council
spokesperson U Hla Thein for details, but they did not respond.
