Junta forces destroy 122mm howitzers before retreating from Myebon’s Yaw Chaung base

The junta forces havewithdrawn from the Yaw Chaung tactical operation command base in Myebontownship of  Rakhine State. During their retreat the soldiers destroyedarms and ammunition including 122mm howitzers, claimed Three BrotherhoodAlliance on 26 January.

 

"The junta forces hadabandoned a tactical command base in Myebon on Friday. Starting from morninghours, the soldiers burned arms  and ammunition including 122mm howitzersat the tactical operation command base and nearby hill-based camps," saida statement issued by the  Three Brotherhood Alliance.

 

Following the withdrawal,the soldiers fled in two warships and some of them suffered casualties on thewarships as the Arakan Army (AA) fighters chased them.

 

The clashes between the AAmembers and junta forces persisted in Kyauktaw, Mrauk-U, Minbya, Rathedaung andRamree (Yanbye) townships.
