On 26 January, Pa-Oh National Liberation Organization
(PNLO), a signatory to the nationwide ceasefire agreement (NCA), officially
declared to join the anti-junta offensive.
From the time of signing NCA, the PNLO has adhered to the contract for eight years without any violation, yet they have not achieved any guaranteed political outcomes, said a PNLO statement.
The statement emphasized that the ongoing military
conflict is not solely an ethnic conflict but a clash between a faction
managing the military regime and oppressed ethnic communities, involving the
entire population of Myanmar.
The PNLO has committed to join the pro-people forces
until the collapse of military rulers and continue working towards achieving a
federal democratic system expected by the entire Myanmar population.
