The junta soldiers shot dead two inmates amongthose captured in the 379th light infantry battalion based in Minbya townshipof Rakhine State.
According to a Minbya resident Ko Kyaw Nyunt was oneof the two individuals who was fatally shot.
Three Brotherhood Alliance in a media statementconfirmed the killing of two inmates in their statement released last evening.
"The soldiers from the 379th battalion, based inMinbya locality of Rakhine State, violated the human rights of two civilians.These individuals, held in arbitrary detention since 2022, were shot to deathin their cell during their confinement," added the statement.
He added that Arakan Army (AA) fighters hadsuccessfully evacuated those remaining inmates.
"The inmates, who were evacuated from Minbyapolice station, were arrested from a chicken farm by the 379th battalion. Icame to know that Ko Kyaw Nyunt and another individual were shot dead. The AAfighter managed to evacuate the rest of the inmates," said a Minbyaresident.
Nyi Daung Chay, the ward administrator of Okkar Pyan,a youth from Na Yan and several youths from Pauktaw and Rathedaung localitieswere evacuated.
Narinjara News can not reveal the exact number ofinmates who were evacuated.
Meanwhile, the 379th battalion soldiers wereretreating toward the mountain, where the 541st battalion is based, followingthe offensive launched by AA members.
