Over 200 border forces from northern Maungdaw abandon the camp

 More than 200 border guard forces abandoned their camp of Territory 4 border police station and Zee Pin Chaung border guard in northern Maungdaw locality of Arakan (Rakhine) State.

 

A  Maungdaw resident informed Narinjara News that they deserted the camp by walking along the border fence early Tuesday morning hours.

 

"There hasn't been any fighting in that area. They all deserted the camp by walking along the road next to the fence that encircles the Bangladesh border. There may be around 250 individuals in total," he added.

 

They are taking refuge at Ngar Khu Ya number 10 border guard police station in Maungdaw, the western border of Arakan State.

 

"They haven't fled to Bangladesh. Instead, they are taking refuge at Ngar Khu Ya number ten border guard police station," he stated.

 

Due to the offensive of Arakan Army fighters, a total of 327 border guard forces fled to Bangladesh on Wednesday.
