The Arakan Army (AA) has captured Yan Aung Pyinoutpost in Maungdaw township of Rakhine State after a 5-hour long battle, saida statement.
It added that the outpost refused to surrender andhence the AA fighters launched an offensive on 23 February and finallysucceeded by 12:15 pm.
The AA reiterated their stand that they will captureall the remaining camps in its vicinity.
Meanwhile, the AA fighters targeted number 9 advancedtraining school near Kanni village, which is now the sole active base in Minbyalocality. The 550th light infantry battalion in Ponnagyun township alsofaces the offensive.
The junta forces persisted in conducting airstrikesover Ramree township. The AA fighters
attacked many designated operational targets.
Now they are focusing on all military camps inPonnagyun, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Minbya townships, which havenot surrendered.
