The juntaforces on 21 March arrested four local residents searching for food items inKulabar village under Kyaukphyu township of Rakhine State and laterreleased one of them.
Those whoare still under junta custody include U Soe Thein Naing (aged 35), U Kyaw Kyaw(33) and U Aung Naing Win (aka U La Pu, 27). The individual who was releasedlater is U Su Maung (47).
A Kulabarvillager informed Narinjara News that all four men were arrested by a militaryjunta column with their hands tied behind their backs from Wah Taung Cheymountain, which is close to Kulabar village at around 12 pm.
"Theywent to Wah Taung Chey in search of food items. They encountered a militarycolumn and were later arrested with their hands tied behind their backs. U SuMaung was released halfway in the evening," he added.
U Su Maung revealed that the soldiers beat all of them. He was released by 4 pm. Thelocals stated that they are unaware of the whereabouts of threevillagers.
The familymembers informed Narinjara News that they are worried as they have noinformation about the three individuals.
