The Thailand police have arrested 123 Burmese nationals, whowere hiding at an abandoned house in Kanchanaburi province, near the Myanmarborder, said Thai news reports.
They were arrested by 9 am on Thursday and thegroup includes 29 women.
The local news described them as illegal infiltrators, who were arrested byKanchanaburi police from the border area.
The brokers, who brought the migrants, could escape and they were detained atKanchanaburi police station following the order of Kanchanaburi immigrationofficer.
The migrants are expected to be sent back to Myanmar.
The police have seized four vehicles, which were usedto carry the group of Burmese .
The arrested Myanmar nationals reportedly paid Baht 15,000 to 30,000 each tothe brokers. They were detained while waiting for their vehicle to enter thesouthern part of Thailand.
