AA captures Kyein Chaung border guard outpost in northern Maungdaw

The Arakha Army (AA) has captured Kyein Chaung number 7 border guard outpost, the largest border guard outpost in northern Maungdaw township of Rakhine State, said reliable sources.

The important outpost was captured at around 4 am on Friday.

Reports indicate that more than 200 border guard personnel, along with their families, were caught alive. Many border guard personnel were killed in the clash.

A resident of Phar Wut Chaung village confirmed that Kyein Chaung border guard outpost was captured by the AA fighters and taken under their control by 6 am on 12  April.
