At least 132 Burmese border guard personnel fled toBangladesh again, reports Dhaka Tribune. They sought refuge in the neighbouringcountry after failing to fight against the Arakha Army ( AA) inthe Rakhine region.
“88 of them died on Sunday morning and 44 on Saturday. Theysurrendered to the Bangladesh border guard personnel after crossing the Natriver from several places,” said the report.
According to intelligence agencies in the region, theyentered Bangladesh after crossing the river.
618 Myanmar border guards, who entered earlier, were alsosent back by Dhaka.
The AA fighters were camping a few miles away from Maungdaw,Kyekan Pyin border guard headquarters. All border guard stations of HlaPo Khao number 10 were already occupied.
