AA provides food and shelter to Muslim IDPs

The Arakan Army (AA) members  provide food and shelter to Muslim internally displaced persons (IDPs) recently fled from Maungdaw township of  Arakan State.

These photographs show the AA is assisting Muslim residents, who were evacuated on 11 August from several villages & wards in Maungdaw locality. These areas include Ka Nyin Tan, Bo Hmue, wards 1, 2 & 5, Phay Zi, Aye Ta Li Yar, Har Bi, Shwe Zar (Zay Di Pyin) and Kat Pa Kaung.

The AA provides assistance to all people living in the Arakan region regardless of their races, religions or status. According to the local residents, the opportunity for all ethnic groups to  participate equally in the  local governance resulted in greater harmony and mutual understanding among them  in the AA-controlled areas.
