Nabi Hussain, Chief of the Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA),
a terrorist organization from Myanmar, was arrested along with his brother and
weapons, according to a report with a photo by Ukhiya News, a news outlet in
Bangladesh, on September 1.
The arrest took place in the early hours of
August 31 in the B-block of Camp No. 8, under the Irani Pahar Police Camp of
Palongkhali Union.
The report states that the two individuals
arrested are Nabi Hussain, aged 47, and his younger brother, Syed Hussain, also
known as Bulu, aged 45. Both men are Rohingyas from Myanmar.
Nabi Hussain has several cases against him for
various terrorist activities, including murder, drug smuggling, and robbery.
Deputy Commander of the 14th Armed Police
Battalion (APBN), Arefin Jewel, confirmed that two foreign pistols and eight
rounds of ammunition were found with Nabi Hussain and his brother at the time
of their arrest.
According to Ukhiya News, the two have been
handed over to the police station for further legal action
