The military regime launched airstrikes on Nampawng
village in Hsenwi (Theinni) district of northern Shan State, while the country
is reeling under flood, claimed Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army
(MNDAA), adding that the strikes resulted in five civilian deaths and injuries
to eight other individuals.
On the evening of 13 September at around 7 pm,
two jet fighters repeatedly circled the area before dropping three bombs on
residential zones of Nampawng village.
Three villagers sustained serious injuries and the
airstrikes also destroyed several houses.
There is no military installation or
administrative office near the area which was targeted by the junta's jet
fighters.
