The military junta has taken actions against 81overseas employment agencies, said a report of BETV Business.
Those agencies were suspended from offering new jobsfor failing to meet the necessary percentage of remittances to the families, asmandated by the junta's labour ministry.
The ministry instructed the agencies to provide proofof remittances to the families of overseas workers for the first three monthsof this year.
Among the suspended agencies, the majority are thoseused to send workers to Thailand.
The suspension created difficulties for theindividuals associated with overseas employment.
Some workers stated that those connected with thesuspended agencies are facing delays in securing permission to leave foroverseas employment.
Currently, there are nearly 600 licensed agenciesauthorized to send workers abroad, with tens of thousands of people departingfor overseas employment each month, added the ministry.
