Using Y-12 aircraft, the junta airdropped gunsand supplies once more at around 10:00 am on October 21. They were deliveredwith parachutes to the 5th Border Guard Police headquarters (NaKhaKha-5), whichis located in Maungdaw Town on Arakan State's western border.
"I witnessed the junta employing Y-12aircraft to airdrop food and munitions to the NaKhaKha-5 battalion. Twopackages were dropped at once. According to a local, there were perhaps thirtyshipments with parachutes overall.
Furthermore, local witnesses reported that thejunta conducted fighter jet attacks near the Arakan Army (AA)-attackedNaKhaKha-5 battalion on October 21 around 9:45 a.m.
"We observed continuous jet fighterairstrikes close to the NaKhaKha-5 battalion. The battle is still going on.Another neighbor remarked, "Even at dawn, we can hear the sounds ofwarfare and the artillery shells fired by the junta fleet."
The battle is at its most fierce, with thejunta air force using fighter jets to conduct daily airstrikes over theNaKhaKha-5 unit in Maungdaw. In the meantime, Y-12 planes are still droppingfood and weaponry.
While the junta is retaliating with frequentairstrikes using heavy bombs, the Arakan Army (AA) is waging an aggressiveoffensive to seize the only surviving 5th Border Guard Police Battalion(NaKhaKha-5) in Maungdaw.
