In Oke Shit Pin Town, situated in Pyay District, Bago Region, junta forces have limited local movement by creating a list of vehicles and the households that possess them. The military is now more frequently utilizing civilian vehicles for transport instead of using military ones.

A male inhabitant of Oke Shit Pin informed Narinjara News that from January 26, military personnel and police, along with the town's administrator, have been collecting details on homes with trucks, light trucks, and other vehicles for the purpose of forced labor in the town.

“They started gathering the list on January 26 and were more meticulous with it yesterday. They investigated the destinations of these vehicles, their purposes, and created a list. Now, if these vehicles move at all, they must report it," he stated.

A military source in the area also verified that the junta is increasingly utilizing civilian vehicles over military ones for transport.

"They contact us when they require assistance. They request that we provide food, move supplies, or convey soldiers, including those who are wounded in the conflict. They have stopped using military vehicles. Rather, they are taking locals as captives," he stated.

At present, the junta is selecting vehicles from their compiled list to transport supplies to the frontline and junta units.

The junta has deployed a strong security force in Oke Shit Pin Town and has bolstered its troops close to Nyaung Chay Htauk village.

Residents also mentioned that around 200 junta troops are deployed in Nyaung Kyoe village in Oke Shit Pin Township, with an artillery unit located in Chin Kone village.

Residents report that concerns over an assault on Oke Shit Pin Town by the Arakan Army (AA) and resistance forces have prompted the junta to bolster its security protocols and military presence in the region, especially following the AA's takeover of the Moe Hti Taung camp in the Arakan Mountains along the Arakan-Bago border.
