The three brother alliances (AA/TNLA and MNDAA) have proclaimed a one-month extension of their unilateral ceasefire for the third time following Myanmar's earthquake to facilitate the removal of damaged structures and the ongoing humanitarian efforts concerning the earthquake's consequences. 

The time for the ceasefire is now, from June (2) to (30) according to the announcement. 

On March (28/29/30), 2025, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale struckmultiple areas of Myanmar, such as Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Shan State, Bago Region, and Nay Pyi Taw. 

This marks the third occasion that the ceasefire has been prolonged to facilitate the removal of damaged structures and aid efforts associated with the earthquake recovery. 

This marks the third truce among the three alliances from April through June.

Nevertheless, the assistance initiatives addressing the extensive destruction from the earthquake and its aftershocks throughout Myanmar remain unfinished for two months, with reports indicating that heavy rainfall continues to inflict additional harm to structures. 

Consequently, since more time is needed to proceed with efforts concerning the earthquake's aftermath, the 2025 statement indicated that the one-sided humanitarian ceasefire has been extended from June 2 to June 30. 

As of this statement, the alliance of three brotherhoods has declared that they will refrain from launching any offensive attacks against the junta in combat zones on their side, "except in self-defense." 

The military council, which frequently targets civilians even after proclaiming a ceasefire, announced on May 31 that it has extended the temporary ceasefire from June 1 to June 30.
