Khaing Swe Zin Thin, a Rakhine native who competed in the 2025 Miss Universe Myanmar event in Yangon at the Myanmar Expo (Fortune Plaza), came in as 2nd Runner-up.

Representing Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine state, Khaing Swe Zin Thin competed at Miss Universe Myanmar 2025.

Regarding her second runner-up prize, one of her admirers stated, "I am glad to win this award from Rakhine. I support everyone who competes every year. This year, I am happy to support her because she made it to the Top 3."

The winner of Miss Universe Myanmar 2025 was Myat Yadana Soe, who represented Pyin Oo Lwin, while the first runner-up was Miss Na Na, who represented Hakha, and the second runner-up was Miss Khine Swe Zin Thin, who represented Sittwe.

Miss Zul Hlaing Wint Tai, who represented Meikthila, took third runner-up place overall; Miss Myo Ko Ko San, who represented Mogok, came in as fourth runner-up, and Miss Mary Ja Doi Awng, who represented Myitkyina, came in fifth runner-up.

In the most recent Miss Universe Myanmar 2024 pageant, which took place in 2024, Miss Rakhine Aye Myint Moh made it to the Top 20, and in the Miss Universe Myanmar 2023 competition, Miss Rakhine Saw Myat Ei Khaing won the Miss Popular Choice prize in addition to placing in the Top 10.

Ten years ago, in 2015, Miss Rakhine Cho Cho Htun also won second runner-up title in the Miss Universe Myanmar competition.
