According to a joint statement issued by the People's Liberation Front (PLF) and Strategy No. (29) (Ayeyarwady PDF), junta forces killed nine civilians, wounded 20 others, and destroyed numerous houses in two towns in Ayeyarwady Region between May 15 and June 30.

The terrorist military council, which has been losing ground militarily, has been conducting daily attacks on civilians as the revolutionary conflict in the Ayeyarwady Region has grown.

From its No. 344th artillery battalion base in Ye Kyi Township of Ayeyarwady, the junta force has been launching assaults between May 15 and June 30 against several towns and villages that they lost control of in the conflict with revolutionary troops.

The junta forces from the No. 344th Artillery Base and Lay Myet Nar Township are said to have committed war crimes by attacking the homes and people of the villages. Junta troops employed airplanes, drones, paramotors, and heavy weapons (incendiary bombs) during the assaults.

Eight of the deceased victims are from Lay Myet Nar Township, while one is from Ye Kyi Township.

They are Daw Myint Myint Than, 59, from Saw Pyar Village; Daw Cho Ma Oo, 50, Daw Zee Keu, 70, Ma San San Win, 49, and Maung Aung Ye Thu, 10, from Lay Khon Gyi village; U Chit, 85, from Thung Taw Village; Maung Kyaw Zin Htet, 27, from the bottom of the Setalone Taung Pagoda; and Maung Phyo Gyi, 21, from Shan Kwin Village.

Maung Chit Ko, 17, from Gwe Pin Tauk village in Ye Kyi Township, is another victim.

Twenty people were hurt, nine men and eleven women among them.

Ma Thae Su Khaing (15), Ma Phway Phway (12), Khin Thuzar Kyaw (16), and Ma Moe Myint Zin (15) are the four women who are under the age of 16; the first two are from Lay Khon Gyi village, and the other two are from Thung Taw village and the bottom of the Setalone Taung pagoda, respectively.

Aung Min Khant (9), a ten-year-old kid from Hto Bo hamlet in Lay Myet Nar Township, is one of the nine males.

In the Ayeyarwady Region, there is now intense fighting between Myanmar's army and the alliance forces led by the Arakan Army in the townships of Ye Kyi, Lay Myet Nar, and Ingapu.
