ARSA video is fabricated propaganda
Narinjara News, July 4, 2025
U Khaing Thukha, the ULA/AA spokesperson, informed Narinjara yesterday that there have been no incidents of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) targeting an AA camp along the northern Maungdaw border or engaging in combat.
U Khaing Thukha was answering a query regarding a story that an ARSA terrorist group assaulted an AA camp near Bandula village on the Myanmar-Bangladesh border, in the northern part of Rakhine State's Maungdaw Township, killing several AA troops.
"This is all fake news. These individuals are on the Bangladesh side, fabricating conflicts and uploading videos to disseminate propaganda in the guise of an AA strike. This is not true news; the firearms and the dead belong to them. There is no fighting," he stated.
He said that the Arakan Army is reinforced with a large number of comrades in Maungdaw Township and is always keeping an eye on the actions of the terrorist organizations.
"How can we remain calm if our camp is attacked like this and there are casualties? We will strike back, and our response will resemble an avalanche that will bring everything down."
He added that the goal of the group is to entice support from their countrymen who live in Middle Eastern nations.
According to residents, ARSA is active in Bangladesh and has sometimes entered northern Maungdaw Township, where it has ambushed AA forces and abducted civilians.
Additionally, numerous bogus films of battles with the Arakan Army (AA) are also being shared online.
According to an unidentified local resident of Maungdaw who requested that his name not be revealed, the Arakan Army troops should always be on high alert because there is a risk of armed terrorist organizations in northern Maungdaw Township.
The northern portion of Maungdaw Township is now heavily guarded, while the southern portion has gained some degree of stability.
According to reports in Bangladesh, organizations like ARSA and RSO are now enrolling new members in refugee camps in order to assault the Arakan Army and are providing military training on Bangladeshi territory with the support of Bangladeshi local authorities.
There are reports that the Bangladeshi government has not imposed any restrictions, even though Rohingya groups are doing such work on Bangladeshi territory.
