On Friday afternoon, the military council detonated a bomb at the Zaydi Byin Village Cottage Hospital in Rathedaung Township, 20 miles north of the state capital, Sittwe, which resulted in damage to a few adjacent structures.
According to a local resident, the military council used a drone to attack Zaydi Byin Hospital, but the explosion only caused minor damage to nearby structures.
"It struck the center close to the hospital; nobody was hurt. Some structures sustained damage."
The local populace is terrified by the military council's bombing of Zaydi Byin Village, which is outside the area of conflict.
When asked more about the claims that junta had used fighter planes to target the village hospital, a local man claimed to have heard that the military council had used a silent drone to the village.
"At 12 pm today, a drone bombed the hamlet of Zaydi Byin. The drone was also inaudible. Nevertheless, he stated that there were no injuries since the shelters had been built in advance.
The military council has targeted Zaydi Byin, a big village with over a thousand homes, which is located in the Mayu region area of Rathedaung Township.
The terrorist military council navy, which was stationed at sea close to Thawin Chaung in southern Maungdaw Township, opened fire with heavy guns on Zaydi Byin village above Mayu Mountain on May 21, 2024, killing an old man and wounding six people, one of whom was a woman.
The deceased was U Maung Chan Aye, 69, a refugee from Ma Hnyin Taung village who resided in Zaydi Byin village. Ko Lin Chey, a refugee from the town of Rathedaung, and the following individuals were hurt: U Aung Kyaw Sein, Maung Myo Min Khant, U Phyu Tha Oo, Daw Thein Thein Nyunt, and U Kyaw Soe Than.
The military council has been conducting frequent bombings to destabilize and psychologically hurt the peaceful Rakhine population, with a particular focus on schools, hospitals, and densely populated areas.
