According to reports, the junta established the National Defense and Security Council's Central Advisory Board on July 31, 2025, and Daw Aye Nu Sein, formerly a member of the Arakan National Party (ANP) Policy Steering Committee and its top leader, has been reassigned to the board.

Daw Aye Nu Sein is the fourth member of the 15-member junta, which is made up primarily of ethnic leaders.

With 10 military commanders, the junta established the State Security and Peace Commission on July 31 after disbanding the previous State Military Council.

Min Aung Hlaing, Senior General, Pro Tem President (On Duty), stated in a statement that the military commander-in-chief will assume the role of interim president on this board.

Following the coup in 2021, Daw Aye Nu Sein was named to the junta's State Administration Council (SAC) on February 3.

She was elevated on February 1, 2023, from a member of the council to a central advisory member of the State Administration Council.
