The United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) will hold a press conference on August 11, the ULA/AA stated today. The number of press conferences has increased tenfold.
Similar to prior ULA/AA press conferences, this one will be held in the Arakanese (Rakhine) language at 11 am on that day.
As in prior times, journalists who want to cover the news conference must first register at the URL https://forms.gle/9FkNHENUvZ9R1sMp9 .
The press conference will be covered by registered reporters only.
The questions that journalists want to ask will be answered on August 5, and they will only be permitted to ask 2 questions in advance. Tuesday is the deadline for submissions, which must be sent to [email protected] .
The ULA/AA press conference will be the first conference since March 5, and this is the tenth iteration.
In the past press conferences, U Khaing Thu Kha, the spokesperson for the ULA/AA, responded to reporters' queries regarding the military, political, judicial, and administrative aspects of the ULA/AA's operations.
The military council has proclaimed a state of emergency in the 15 Rakhine State towns that the Arakan Army now rules, including Paletwa Township in Chin State.
According to political analysts, the ULA/AA's stance on the military council election and the state of war with the junta forces are likely to be discussed at the upcoming ULA/AA press conference.
