Chinese space shuttle wreckage to fall over Bay of Bengal

Narinjara News, 1 April 2022

A warning has been issued by the Myanmar authorities that more wreckage of a Chinese space shuttle would fall over the Bay of Bengal from 7 to 17 April.

Those wreckage may fall about 34 nautical miles southwest of Thandwe airport and 44 nautical miles southwest of Man Aung airport in Rakhine State. The fall may take place between 5:30 am and 9:00 am in a day between 7 and 13 April.

The government has already warned the offshore vessels to be careful while passing through the area for their own safety.

Kyaw Than, a former member of the national assembly from Man Aung township, informed Narinjara News that the frequent fall of Chinese spacecraft crashes in Rakhine State could be harmful to those who are dependent on the fishery for their livelihood.

He also added that marine (aquatic) animals are also dying from the frequent falls and the Rakhine sea has slowly become a dumping ground for the Chinese spacecraft.

Earlier in February this year, the wreckage of a Chinese space shuttle fell into the Rakhine sea. Similar incidents took place in December and November 2021 too.

The locals have raised voices for safeguarding the Rakhine people from probable harms and urged the government to take necessary measures.
