Covid-19 casualties in Myanmar rise to 198

Myanmar has lost 198 persons to Covid-19 complications till date and total number of infected individuals with novel corona virus increases to 9,991.

According to the Union health and sports ministry’s statement at  8 am today, 2,681 individuals were discharged from hospitals after medical interventions.

The south-east Asian country reported the loss of  24 persons to Covid-19 aggravated ailments in the last 24 hours. With total casualties of 198, the death rate now stands at 1.98 percent, added the statement.

A total of 880 new infections were recorded across the country, whereas 164 individuals were discharged from hospitals during the last 24 hours.

In Rakhine State, three persons died of Covid-19 till date, where 1,235 individuals tested positive for the virus infection since 16 August. Altogether  703 individuals were discharged from  hospitals, informed Zaw Hlaing Tun of Rakhine Covid-19 Watch.
