One more Covid-19 patient dies in Sittwe

Another individual, who was undergoing treatment for Covid-19 complications at Sittwe general hospital, died this morning.

The patient was around 67 year-old man and breathed his last at 11 am.

The hospital superintendent Dr Zaw Lwin informed that the senior citizen was the third patient who died from the novel corona virus infection aggravated ailments there.

“Till today, three Covid-19 positive patients have expired at Sittwe general hospital. Today’s case was in critical condition for some days and he succumbed to the complications at an intensive care unit,” added Dr Zaw Lwin.

The victim was admitted to the hospital on 26 September and he was suffering from high blood pressure too.

So far, four persons have died of corona-complications in Rakhine State. The fourth case was reported from Kyauktaw general hospital.

Presently, there are over 140 corona-positive cases at Sittwe general hospital after 711 patients were already discharged.

As a whole, Myanmar has lost 353 persons in the Covid-19 pandemic, where 43,78 individuals recovered after medical interventions. Till Friday evening at 8 pm , the country recorded  15,525 corona-positive cases.
