Same day, the Ann township court fined Daw Ma Sein (around  50 years old) who hails from the airport ward the place where the western command  is stationed. Both of them were charged under Section 171 (f) of Penal Code for Electoral Frauds.

Two more Rakhine women living in Shwepyithar township are facing similar charges. Ma Win May, one of them has been summoned to the election authority office on 21 February next.

The current military council is trying its best to prove that the last national elections were not free and fair. It is primarily targeting girls and women.

Needless to mention that the current State Administration Council (SAC) overthrew the victorious National League for Democracy-led government and seized power on 1 February  2021 claiming that the general elections were rigged.
