AA collaborates with Chin resistance forces, captures Kyin Dway town of Chin State

Kyin Dway town of  Chin State was captured on 29 April by an organised offensive engineered by the Arakha Army (AA) fighters and Chin resistance forces.

The town was besieged following a series of attacks since  22  December  2023 by the joint forces of Chin Brotherhood, Chin Defense Force (CDF), People's Defense Force (PDF) and AA fighters. Finally it was occupied after four  months of battles, reported local media outlets.

During the clashes, the junta soldiers conducted multiple airstrikes on various villages causing damages to residential houses and  schools. Some residents also sustained injuries.

On 23 April, CDF leaders expressed gratitude in a statement saying, "We are extremely grateful to the AA  for all their assistance in the battle to capture Kyin Dway town."

Chin Brotherhood members led the attack on the town with the support from

Zomi Federal Union (ZFU), Chin National Organization (CNO), Chin National Council (CNC-Mindat), Chin Defense Force (CDF-Kampetlet) and Chinland Defense Force (CDF-Matupi).
