More Than 30 bodies of junta soldiers are found floating on Rar Maung
river water in Minbya township of Rakhine State, reported a local resident.
"I am not sure the
exact date when these bodies perished. They are seen floating now. There were more than 30 bodies all wearing military uniforms," added the
resident.
The bodies of those soldiers
might be reinforcements who arrived by the navy barge from Kyat Sin bridge on
20 January. On that day the Arakan Army (AA) fighter surrounded and attacked
them, resulting in the casualties among soldiers.
In Minbya Township , the
entire column of junta forces was defeated by the AA fighters. The bodies were
found floating later the incident.
On 23 January, a video
clipping surfaced on social media showed the dead bodies of 7 junta soldiers.
It also depicted the seizure of weapons after an attack by the AA members at
Min Bar Gyi jetty under Minbya township.
