On the outskirts of Mrauk-U Township, a brief
clash between the Military Council and the AA occurred around 3:00 PM on
December 13. Subsequently, at approximately 4:28 PM, a Mi-35 gunship helicopter
from the Military Council targeted Mrauk-U Township, resulting in damage to the
Yadanar Man Aung pagoda, temple, and monastery in an ancient historical area of
the township.
Also, airstrikes were conducted along the ridge
above Mingalar Man Aung Pagoda in Mrauk-U Township, around Sakya Man Aung
Pagoda, and along the mountain where AA members are positioned near Pan Myaung
Village in Minbya Township, as stated in the report.
On December 12, around 7:00 PM, a clash between
AA and Military Council troops occurred near Kazu Kaing bridge in Ann Township,
Rakhine State.
Reports indicate that Myanmar junta troops,
targeting Rakhine people, persist in targeting residential wards and villages.
At around 6:00 AM on December 13, approximately
six policemen from the Military Council deliberately discharged their firearms
at boats docked at the Myoma market harbor in Sittwe Township.
On December 13, around 11:00 AM, the "Taw
Hein hill-based camp" at Kazu Kaing, a Military Council base camp in Ann
Township, Rakhine State, intentionally launched artillery shells targeting
villages inhabited by civilians. As a result, a 54-year-old man from Ah Htet
old village, Da Lat Chaung village-tract, Ann Township, was reported to have
been hit by artillery shell shrapnel.
Furthermore, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the
344th Battalion of the Military Council, stationed in Par Da Leik in Sittwe
Township, Rakhine State, intentionally launched artillery shells at villages
inhabited by civilians.
Similarly, in Pauktaw Township, on December 12
at around 5:00 PM, artillery shells from the navy ship of the Military Council
stationed at Pwel Kyi mountain river mouth were deliberately targeted at
villages inhabited by civilians. This resulted in damage to two houses in Taung
Hpu village in Pauktaw Township.
Unable to engage in direct confrontations on
the battlefield, the Military Council has been resorting to targeting and
arresting civilians day after day. On December 12, a total of 53 civilians,
including women and men, were forcibly abducted from boats docked at South
Korea's BXT port in Sittwe Township.
