After the Arakan Army (AA) took control of the Paletwa region, continuous attacks on divisions and battalions in Kyauktaw, Mrauk-U and Minbya townships of Rakhine State are going on.

According to the Three Brotherhood Alliance statement the significant military bases

currently need only partial capture.

In Ramree (Yanbye) township of Kyaukphyu district, the junta's military bases have been strategically surrounded and blocked.

The military tension is escalating in Mrauk-U, Minbya and Kyauktaw townships. There are 10 battalions under the 9th military operations command (MOC-9) of the junta on duty in these three townships. Some of the battalions have been captured. Some  require only partial capture. The remaining battalions are still under the attack by AA fighters added

the statement.

The AA has successfully captured five fortified junta battalions, namely the 539th light infantry battalion, 377th artillery battalion and 374th light infantry battalion in Kan Sauk of Kyauktaw township, as well as  540th light infantry battalion in Mrauk-U township, and the 380th light infantry battalion in Minbya township.

The AA may have also captured the 375th and 376th battalions along with the MOC-9 based in Kyauktaw locality. However, Narinjara News cannot confirm the information.

The residents said that there is a need for partial capture for  377th and 378th battalions in Mrauk-U township, as well as 379th and 541st battalions based in Minbya locality.

During the battle in Ramree township, under the offensive of the AA, the junta's military bases stationed in and around Ramree  were strategically surrounded.

The battle on Ramree island is widespread and the junta forces are attacking Ramree with the air force, navy personnel  as well as artillery shells.

On 2 February,  the junta forces conducted two airstrikes with jet fighters and four times with Mi-35 helicopters deliberately targeting the Ramree town areas. Simultaneously, the junta's naval ship in Tan Chaung Wa fired at least 10 artillery shells over the town.

After the launch of Operation 1027, the  military operations unfolded in Paletwa and also the Rakhine region. The AA  is progressively advancing towards its military objectives, asserted the statement.

Three Brotherhood Alliance indicated that the AA commander-in-chief said in an interview with the BBC on 1 February  that the AA fighters will persist in its fight to achieve full military control over the entire Rakhine region.
