Head of Maungdaw Myoma police station and inspector flee with weapons and gold items

The commander and inspector of Maungdaw Myoma police station in Rakhine State had fled with weapons and 108 ticals of gold items, held as physical evidence, on the night of 3 May, said Maungdaw police officials.

 

Commander Tun Hlaing and inspector Aung Kyaw Moe are known to be natives of Rathedaung locality.

 

Till now, over 100 police officers have resigned and many of them fled from Maungdaw district and township police station.

 

The police department has registered complaints against all individuals who fled armed or unarmed and even who submitted resignation letters, at  Maungdaw township police station under section 505 of the Myanmar penal code.
